We designed Christmas cards. We planned our design, made a list of materials required and then created our designs. All of our card designs were very different, reflecting all the creativity in our class.

Junior Einsteins- Exploring Slime

We went to a Junior Einsteins Show in Clondalkin Library as part of Science Week. We had unbelievable fun exploring liquids and solids by making two different types of slime.

Problem of the Week!

6th Class Cake Sale for Laura Lynn Children's Hospice

We held a Cake Sale for the whole school on the Friday before the mid-term. We designed posters to advertise our cake sale and visited each of the classes in advance to tell them about our sale. We all baked delicious cakes, buns and sweet treats for the sale. We went to each class in the school selling cakes and raffle tickets. Sarah made an incredible chocolate cake which was first prize in our raffle.

We raised €600 from our Cake Sale. We researched some charities that might benefit from the proceeds of our sale. Laura Lynn Children's Hospice was the most popular charity, so we decided to donate our cake sale money to this very worthy cause.

Green Halloween

We designed and made Halloween costumes in room 17 for our school’s Green Halloween Fashion Show. We made our costumes entirely out of recyclable materials. The first step was to sketch out our designs and to plan what materials we would use. Then we got busy creating our designs. We got to model our designs and  to see what costumes other classes had created at the fashion show.
